So guys as you can see, this is me no make up, being blinded by the sun, Clearly wearing the appropriate clothing. I don't know why when your travelling alone in a different country you automatically think its acceptable to do the complete opposite to what you what do at home. At this point I didn't have a driving license, had never ridden a moped in my life but hey why not try it in a completely different country. What can go wrong? A lot can go wrong actually despite wearing a helmet with lucky on somehow I do not think luck was on my side this day. Anyway off I go to check out what Koh Samui has to offer, I decided to go to Koh Samui after the full moon party in Koh Phangan as I had heard this to be a more relaxing spot, Chill out time much needed after one too many Thai buckets and almost losing my soul. FYI full moon parties ruin everybody!
The suns shining, Its a glorious day, sweat dripping down my head so very attractive, enjoying my peaceful ride around but realise i'm running low on fuel. Reality hits.... I don't even know how to fill this thing up! luckily I drive past a mini fuel station and get assistance so I am back on my merry way. I find myself driving down this main road straight past where I am staying so I decide to turn round, then I go into panic mode as I didn't even know how to turn the bike around. The road was busy, I found a gap and went for it, got to the other side and completely lost control, instead of letting go once I hit the floor I still had my hand on accelerate dragging myself down the road. Once I finally realise what I am doing I let go of the accelerator and come to a screeching stop. Luckily Thai people are so friendly and helpful they all came running to my assistance and one lovely lady even took me to the hospital, where I was bandaged up, I still have the scars to prove it aswell. so moral of the story is DON'T DO STUPID THINGS ABROAD. Think, would I do this at home? if the answer is no then don't do it whilst your away. This incident could have ended a lot worse.
